While in today’s sales, the fundamental principles of inbound marketing haven’t changed, many specific channels and methods that prospects use to find, evaluate and buy products are different from those used 10 years ago.

 

Even the dynamics of offer and demand has changed. In 2006 prospects already had an average of 4 to 5 choices of any product or service available to buy.

 

In 2016, that figure has reached at about 14 different providers in most sectors. The product options that once occupied space on a store shelf can now be distributed infinitely on e-commerce sites.

 

The offer of products is high, but demand remains relatively unchanged. With the competition increase, it’s even more important to understand how your Buyer’s personas search and purchase products.

 

 

TIPS TO IMPROVE YOUR SALES

These are the four things that, in my opinion, every marketing professional should do this year:

 

 

1. Invest in video content.

Diversify your content to include videos in your social media strategy, as well as text for search engine

optimization.

 

 

2. Living in social networks.

We are not B2B or B2C marketing professionals, but companies who target other marketing professionals. Today your buyers live in Snapchat, Instagram, Messenger and other social media applications, so you can find them on those platforms.

 

 

3. Accelerate your content.

It combines content marketing with paid marketing. Reuse the most successful Value Content for multiple channels and push it on budget.

 

 

4. Automate your purchase process.

Buyers want to be able to buy on time with little or almost no contact with other people. It offers the opportunity to have a short purchase and without so much waiting.
